If you are moving out of National Grid service area, you will need to call customer service at least 3 days in advance to be sure that service is turned off in time. You will have the opportunity to choose between variable and fixed rate plans with most ESCOs, however we recommend fixed rate plans across the board. ![]() Most ESCOs will not charge a fee to open a new account, but you should be aware of other common contract terms.
